Ingredients
Base:- 1 cup Hemp Connect Hemp Hearts
- 1 1/4 cup almond meal
- 1/2 cup desiccated coconut
- 2 tbsp coconut oil, melted
- 3 tbsp maple syrup
- pinch of sea salt
- water if needed
Caramel:
- 1 cup smooth peanut butter
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 1/3 cup melted coconut oil
- pinch of salt
- 1/2 cup Hemp Connect Hemp Hearts, dusted on top
Chocolate
- 1/3 cup melted coconut oil
- 1/3 cup maple syrup
- 1/4 cup cacao powder
- pinch of salt
Method
- Blitz the base ingredients in a food processor until it binds into a soft dough. Press into a small lined loaf in and smooth the top with the back of a soon.
- To make the caramel, whisk together the peanut butter and maple syrup in a mixing bowl. Gradually add the coconut oil and salt and beat until thick and creamy. Pour over the base and top with hemp hearts.
- Place slice in the freezer whilst you make the chocolate.
- Whisk together the chocolate topping ingredients until smooth and glossy.
- Pour over the slice and return to the freezer for a few hours until firm to the touch. Slice and keep slices either frozen or in a sealed container in the refrigerator. YUM!
